Interested in Serving?

Without volunteers who have answered the call to serve, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do week in and week out here at Crossroads. If you are interested in serving, you found just the place to be! WE have various ways for you to get involved in many different ministries. Below are descriptions of the ways you can get involved. After you have looked through them, if you find an area you feel God has called you to serve in, click the button to fill out our serve form. Once you have done that, we will contact you to go over the next steps.

  • Help make Sunday mornings warm and welcoming—one cup at a time! The Coffee Team serves coffee and hot chocolate with a smile, helping guests and regular attenders feel at home and ready to connect. A simple act of service that makes a big difference in creating community.

  • Be one of the first friendly faces people see when they arrive at Crossroads! Our Front Door Team sets the tone for a welcoming Sunday by offering smiles, handshakes, and helpful directions so everyone feels valued and cared for from the moment they walk in.

  • Help create a warm, inviting atmosphere inside the worship space! Worship Center Greeters welcome attendees, hand out connect cards, and are available to answer questions—ensuring everyone feels comfortable and ready to worship together.

  • Make first-time guests feel like family! The Welcome Center Team greets newcomers, answers questions, helps them get connected, and helps them fill out our connect card—helping new people take their first steps into the Crossroads community.

  • Lobby Hosts bring warmth and connection to the heart of Crossroads each Sunday. They visit with people in the lobby, help new guests feel at ease, and guide families to where they need to go. It’s a simple, friendly role that turns the church lobby into a place of welcome and community.

  • Worship Center Hosts help people feel comfortable and cared for during the service. They greet guests, help them find seats, give simple directions, and keep the worship space welcoming and organized. They also take attendance each service, helping Crossroads stay connected and intentional in caring for everyone who comes.

  • You are caring for the youngest generations in our church and creating a safe place for young parents to feel confident in leaving their “worlds” for an hour or two. You are allowing parents to worship and learn in an uninhibited way, which, in turn, sets up this child’s future of following Jesus because their parents are following Jesus. “Babysitting” is far from your role. We like to have kind, positive, confident caregivers in these roles, even when criers are dropped off with you.

  • These kids are beginning to learn about the world around them, and we want them to learn about Jesus, who died for them, and about the God who made them. You’re introducing these kids to God and a long journey ahead of them. We teach about Jesus, enjoy musical worship, and build connections to each other in play, crafts, and snacks. The church is a fun place to be, and we want to create that experience for the young kids who attend.

  • We’re building a foundation of faith in this generation of kids that God has huge plans for. We want them to learn about God’s Love for them, as well as the ways that He hopes to be alive and at work in their lives. We also want them to know where to find God in the crazy world that surrounds them. Through leading small-group conversations and/or playing games and working through crafts/activities, you’re building positive time together and creating a safe space to ask questions about the truths of the Bible.

  • We must know who is in our ministry spaces on Sundays, and getting them checked in is the path to doing so. From our specific location in the lobby, we check in kids, greet families, answer questions, and ultimately continue creating a welcoming, stress-free experience for first-time visitors and regular attendees. A smile, a greeting, and some conversation go a long way in breaking down walls and preparing guests for a special day at church.

  • Beyond the check-in counter, the Greeting team is another smile and a greeting, willing to offer directions to the appropriate kids' spaces and provide a comforting tour for visiting parents dropping off kids. This is a significant relationship that can be built to bring comfort and ease to parents and children who are new to this environment.

  • Little Lambs & SNL

Similar to Sunday Morning Kids teams, we’re continuing the conversations about God, while also including fun and food for the kids. This event is about going deeper in learning, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to teach and to continue the faith foundation-building process.

  • During the school year, Crossroads Students meets on Sunday nights from 6-7:30pm. We eat, worship, have fun, and learn together in a setting geared specifically for middle school and high school students. If you are someone who has a heart for this age group, a desire to serve, and a willingness to have fun, Crossroads Students could be a good fit for you!

  • On Sunday mornings at 9:30, we offer Sunday school classes for our High school and Middle school students. These classes are intentionally geared toward teaching the Bible at a level that teenagers can understand and apply in their personal lives.

  • To use our gifts and talents to lead our people in distraction-free worship. Whether that is with an instrument or with your voice, we are always looking to add people to our team who can do just that. We realize this ministry takes a different set of skills than most, so there are a few more steps than just signing up, but we will walk through that after you have completed the form.

  • Our Tech Team is a crucial part of our Sunday mornings. Without this team, we wouldn’t be able to do things like display song lyrics and sermon slides on the screens, provide high-quality audio, and, most importantly, livestream our services. This team needs a workable knowledge of technology and quick problem-solving skills, but can be taught and trained.

  • As a church family, we want to be there in your time of need, to comfort, and make things easier while you grieve the loss of a loved one. The church provides a meal and a place to gather. We need people willing to provide food and help serve a meal on a rotating basis.

  • Communion is an important part of why we gather together each Sunday. We need someone or a family to prepare ahead of time and clean up each week, putting things away. Each month is a new person or group. This is an important behind-the-scenes ministry that helps connect people to Jesus.
